🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM (Office-Based)
📅 On-Call: One weekend day per month
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Trade Specialist / Commercial Estimator to review technician reports, validate repair scopes, develop professional client proposals, and ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and profitable across multiple commercial trades.
Key Responsibilities
* Review technician reports, photos, videos, and diagnostics for technical accuracy.
* Validate repair scopes, labor, materials, equipment, permits, and pricing.
* Review subcontractor quotes and eliminate unnecessary costs or scope gaps.
* Prepare clear, professional client-facing proposals with scope, methodology, exclusions, and warranties.
* Research market pricing for materials, equipment, and specialty services.
* Ensure estimates meet client agreements and company margin requirements.
* Identify project risks and include appropriate exclusions to protect the company.
* Translate technical findings into client-friendly proposals.
* Help improve estimating standards, pricing databases, templates, and proposal quality.
* 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance, estimating, construction, or trade experience.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, roofing, flooring, painting, and general building maintenance.
* Experience preparing commercial estimates and reviewing technician reports.
* Strong understanding of labor and material costing.
* Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
Preferred
* HVAC certification or mechanical background.
* Commercial property maintenance experience.
* Experience with national accounts.
* Experience using CMMS platforms (ServiceChannel, Corrigo, FacilitySource, FM Pilot, etc.).
